Flanders to Rome

Kia ora, I’m Tina Pohe, fifth generation from Nicola Sciascia. Let me explain where I fit in. Nicola and Riria’s fifth child, Lydia Louisa Sciascia married Poutu McGregor and they had 18 children. Their youngest child Lydia Puaia McGregor married John Tunoho and one of their daughters Raewyn, married Thomas Pohe who in turn had myself and my brother Shane.

I currently live in Island Bay, Wellington, New Zealand and work within a government organization.

As part of the preparations of this trip I have learnt so much more about Nicola and Charles Sciascia than I ever knew. It’s been great reading all the emails, seeing old photographs of past family members as well as those of our Italian family. This will be my first trip to Europe and I am very happy and proud to be amongst the group who are traveling to Belgium and Italy.
