DARRYL HIPPOLITE

Hello my name is Darryl Matthew Hippolite and I’m the youngest of six siblings, belonging to Thomas Hippolite and Edna Mary (Tioko) Hippolite. I was born and raised in sunny Nelson and lived there until I moved to the capital Wellington, in November 1999. I’m currently an Assistant Manager in retail, for Briscoes Lyall Bay Ltd and have been with this company since 2001.

My connection to the Sciascia whanau is through my grandmother Louisa (McGregor) McMillan, who’s first husband was Ihakara Hippolyte. Louisa (Louie) was a daughter of Lydia Sciascia and Poutu McGregor. Lydia was a daughter of Nicola and Riria Sciascia.

I’m looking forward to traveling for the first time out of New Zealand with the rest of the whanau.
